Hailing from East Kingston Jamaica, Governor Tiggy has established name throughout the world, entertaining his audiences with a energetic performances. He has toured internationally and was featured as an artist on the 2001 Entertainment Television Tour as well as the 2008 Kenya Reggae Splash. His sound is a unique blend of classic reggae and dancehall with an occasional dash of hip hop.
Since making San Diego his homebase in 2011, Governor Tiggy has performed at World Beat Center, House Of Blues, 4th and B, just to name a few locations. He also performed at Marcus Garvey Day with The Wailers, and just finished his first West Coast Tour with his band Ruff Cutt in December 2011. Many local San Diego artist have sought after Governor Tiggy for collaborations, and live performances, including the band Todo Mundo, who recently won the 2011 award for Best World Music Album at the San Diego Music Awards.
Governor Tiggy has opened for The Wailers, Buju Banton, Bennie Man, Gregory Isaacs, Tanya Stephens, Marcia Griffith, Mighty Diamonds, and Frankie Paul.
